What MIDO is and what it asks of a stand

MIDO is the world's leading eyewear exhibition, held every February at Fiera Milano Rho. Frame and sunglass makers, lens manufacturers, machinery and instrument suppliers and optical retail designers meet opticians, distributors and chains from around the world.

Eyewear manufacturers from China, from Wenzhou, Xiamen, Shenzhen and other production districts, are a large and long-standing part of MIDO, next to European and Japanese brands. Frames are small objects: the stand has to bring them to eye level, light them without reflections and give buyers a calm table to work through a collection.

What a stand for MIDO needs

Frame walls with glare-free light. Displays at eye level with diffused lighting that shows colour and finish without reflections on lenses.
Consultation tables. Tables with mirrors and good light where buyers try frames and place orders.
Lockable display cases. Security for high-value collections and samples, especially overnight.
Clear brand hierarchy. For manufacturers with several lines or private-label clients, a layout that separates collections.
Meeting rooms. Closed rooms for distributor negotiations.

Exhibiting from China or from abroad

Most of our international clients have never worked with an Italian stand builder before. This is how we make it simple.

One contact person. From the first sketch to dismantling you talk to the same person, by email, phone or WhatsApp: in English, or in Chinese with the help of translation tools.
Our own crews, warehouse and production. Installation crews, warehouse and in-house production of structures, furniture and graphics: fewer subcontractors, more control over quality and deadlines.
Large and two-storey stands. From small shell scheme stands to custom stands of over 300 m², including two-storey stands with meeting rooms upstairs.
We work with your design. If your designer in China has already drawn the stand, we build it, check it against the Italian technical regulations and propose changes only where needed.
Contract with your company. We sign and invoice directly with your company, in China or abroad, with an itemised quote in euro.
Approvals and certificates. We submit drawings to the organiser and provide the electrical declaration of conformity and fire-rating certificates.
Your freight forwarder, our schedule. Your exhibits travel with your forwarder; we coordinate unloading slots and times so goods and stand arrive in the right order.
Storage for the next edition. If you exhibit every year, we keep your stand in our warehouse in Italy and bring it back for the next show.

Can you build a stand for MIDO with many small displays?

Yes. We design modular frame walls and display cases sized on your collection, with lighting tested for eyewear.

Do you provide lockable showcases?

Yes, lockable cases and storage are part of the project, on rental or to buy.

How much does a stand for MIDO cost?

It depends on floor space, type of structure, finishes, electrics and services. We do not publish standard prices: we send you a free itemised quote for your project.

Can we communicate in Chinese?

Yes. Write to us in Chinese or English: we reply in Chinese with the help of translation tools and confirm important technical details in English too, to avoid misunderstandings.

Is the stand rented or bought?

As you prefer: shell scheme, modular, fabric or custom-built, rented or bought. If it is yours, we store it for the next edition.
